Whether it be to create a beautiful formal entry, a tricky narrow garden down the side of a house or a native paradise for attracting wildlife, we are here to help you find the right direction with our Garden Consultation Service.

Our team of qualified horticulturalists work with plants on a day-to-day basis and have a deep understanding when it comes to knowing what will flourish in the conditions specific to your garden.

This service aims to help you plan out every aspect of establishing or renovating your garden, including:

• Soil testing and recommended amelioration techniques for your desired species

• Functional analysis of your site considering factors such as light, aspect and microclimates

• An informal layout of the recommended species

• Information on how to care for your new garden and ongoing maintenance planning

• 10% off plants purchased in conjunction with the consultation plan

The outcome of the consultations will include a rough design layout of recommended plants for your garden space. This will include positioning, care requirements and how to establish the plants. These outcomes will be finalised by working through a process together to achieve whatever it is that you desire for your garden or backyard.

Two sketches will be produced after taking into account all supplied information; sketch #1 being a site analysis & sketch #2 being the recommended species for the garden. Notes will also be provided on:

• Any soil preparation/amelioration that is required for the garden, including recommended products

• A plant schedule that informs the pot size, quantity estimated cost and mature size of the species selected

• Recommendations on weed control can also be provided on request

We will be here to guide you with all the information you need to establish and continue your project to ensure that it is a long-lasting, low maintenance space that you will love! We will also touch base with you following the proposed installation date of your project to answer any queries or concerns that may have arisen in regards to your new oasis.

We offer two Garden Consultation Packages; offsite (you come to us) or onsite (we will come to you).

Consultation at Closeburn Country Garden - 45 minutes, $120

Customer to supply:

Soil samples (up to 3) in separate containers, to test soil pH & texture

Aspect/light duration/how much sunlight in hours

Mud map of garden including existing plants and structures (This needs to be an aerial view of the space with measurements of the garden bed, structures & other important landmarks. The more detail, the better!)

Photos of the existing garden; as many as possible, of all areas!

Customer consultation at the project location - 1hr on site, $200 (up to 20km), $230 (up to 30km), further upon negotiation.

This will allow the consulting staff member to establish the best possible grasp of the site conditions and provide a more tailored outcome, providing the best possible chance for new garden or backyard space to flourish sooner.

This package includes all services provided in Package One with the addition of soil sampling, measurements and sketching of the space completed by your consultant. A follow up visit can be arranged post project installation to ensure everything is progressing well and troubleshoot any issues.
